Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission includes the text of the article (introduction, main text, conclusion), abstract, reference list, key words, reference list, and information about the author and the author’s affiliation.
  • The submission file is in MS Word document format.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided with access date.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements of Author-Date of The Chicago Manual of Style 17th ed. (more examples see here https://www-chicagomanualofstyle-org.proxy.library.uu.nl/tools_citationguide/citation-guide-2.html).

Author Guidelines

Authors should submit their manuscript to acta_missiologiae@ceeams.org. The submissions should be done in MS Word format, Times New Roman 12 pt. (text) 10 pt. (footnotes).

Acta Missiologiae accepts unsolicited manuscripts, and encourages mission scholars engaged in issues emerging from, relevant for and related to Central and Eastern Europe to submit articles. Manuscripts will be edited. Unaccepted manuscripts will not be returned.

Manuscripts should be submitted in English. Spelling should be consistent throughout. Manuscripts should contain 6,000-10,000 words, typed double spaced. Papers should be between 6,000-10,000 words, typed double spaced. The publication of shorter or longer manuscripts can be negotiated with the editors.

Copyright Notice

The author holds the copyright for the final text of the article.

The Editorial Board holds the copyrights for layout of the articles and the whole issue of the journal.

The names and email addresses entered in this journal site will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of this journal and will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other party.
